The MSPBA Officially Announces Our Endorsement of

Tate Reeves for Lt. Governor

July 11, 2011: A press conference was held to announce the associations endorsement of Tate Reeves for Lt. Governor. The announcement was made by Chris Skinner, president of Mississippi PBA. Skinner then introduced former New Albany police officer, Michael Rainwater. Rainwater gave personal testimony that several years prior he had been shot in the line of duty as a police officer with the New Albany Police Department and was disabled due to his injuries. Rainwater had been trying unsuccessfully for several years after the shooting to get his disability retirement, when Tate Reeves got involved in the issue on his behalf and his benefits were approved. Rainwater stated he did not know Reeves at the time and had never even met him, Reeves just did what was right.
