LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Senate Bill 2388, which would have removed nearly all, if not all, executive branch employees of state government out from under the protections of the State Personnel Board, has failed. The bill died a very deserving death in the House Appropriations Committee on March 3, 2009.

This bill would have adversely affected all state law enforcement officers.
